Project Background

The core project challenges included designing a bespoke Christmas display that could be installed utilising the existing fixtures and fittings, ensuring no risk of damage to this historic building. Additionally, the design needed to deliver an impactful, immersive experience in this busy precinct by day and night. The decorations needed to be stylish and grand to reflect the premium brand of the arcade retailers.

CDS Solution

The full CDS team worked closely with the passionate Royal Arcade team to ensure all decorative elements were custom designed and hand-crafted to suit the building’s structural features. This included a striking, starry night entrance feature and immersive hanging display which was installed throughout the arcade. These were designed using European LED lighting solutions as well as products designed to sparkle by day to ensure a magical customer experience was delivered around the clock. Two stunning Christmas Trees decorated to celebrate this iconic building’s unique design were installed on 2 meter high plinths to completed the Royal Arcade’s new festive experience and celebrated the tradition of Christmas.
